Distribute brightly colored take-home folders to all your students. Some teachers call them homework folders. Using the same color for all students makes the folders easier to find. Instruct students to add their names with large markers. In addition to homework papers, letters to parents can be added to the take-home folders. Communicate to parents early in the year that their children will be given these folders.
