Active Learning
This exciting, hands-on course offers educators the opportunity to learn about and acquire a multitude of engaging activities that go beyond the textbook and worksheet. Participants practice creating, evaluating, and adapting ideas to their own specific curriculum needs. Strategies are immediately useful in day-to-day teaching at every grade level.
Brain-Based Learning
Participants gain an understanding of the four critical thinking/problem solving thought processes used on a regular basis in classroom and in life induction, deduction, analysis, and synthesis. Taught in an environment that models brain-compatible teaching and learning, the course explores how the brain takes in, stores, and communicates information. From this understanding, educators develop brain-based teaching strategies to take back to their classrooms.
Mentoring and Coaching
Sandy shows educators how to bring about instructional change by developing rapport with colleagues. Participants learn critical verbal skills and gain an understanding of how to establish an effective coaching relationship.
Developing a Vertical Team in Language Arts
This training offers educators the information, tools, and strategies needed to build successful vertical tams in their schools. Participants will strengthen their own professional skills and learn techniques to help students prepare for college success.
