Testimonial from a participant
I have found PLS courses to be very informative and useful. The course information is research based, and the activities and discussion are something that I can use right away in my classroom. The activities, feedback, and interaction between participants make these courses a great place for me to learn more about possible classroom activities and to improve some of my teaching techniques. Instructor Margie Steinberg creates a relaxed learning environment in which she leads discussion and activities. She generously shares her classroom ideas that she has gained from her many years of experience as a classroom teacher. I would recommend PLS courses to an educator interested in finding new ways to reach their students.

What I love most about teaching:
What I love about my "job" is that I’ve never considered it a job. Every day is different. Every class period you have to be totally flexible.
My favorite moment in teaching:
I received such a huge compliment when a former student asked me to sing for her wedding. So many times in the middle school years, you don’t know if you make a difference or not. When students come back and tell you just that, you know that the impact has been felt.
Personal information:
Reading, singing, family. I’ve made over 2,000 baskets…Margiebergers!
