Why I love teaching PLS courses:

I have yet to teach my first course but being an ex-teacher, counselor and administrator…I miss the interaction with my students and seeing them grow with knowledge.

Education:

I graduated from Indiana University in 1985 with a B.S.
Received my M.S. in counseling
And then completed my Administrative Certification from Indiana University

Teaching Experience:

I have taught special education in grades K-12 and have been a counselor for three years.
I have been a school principal for 13 years.

Related experience, recognition, awards, etc.:

I have been published in the FISH! for Schools Educational Series which is being used / sold all over the world

What I love most about teaching:

I enjoy seeing students not only learn something that is worthy but then going off and applying what they have just learned and seeing the benefits.

My favorite moment in teaching:

One of my favorite moments in teaching would be when they brought a film crew to our building and did a documentary on how our school functions. Being told that you have a model school is one thing but having it verified is another. Many schools now come through our building and want to learn from us. They say the highest form of flattery is being copied.

Personal information:

I am involved in my three children’s very active lives, One in college, one in High School and one in Middle School. I am involved in the H.S. Gridiron Club, our neighborhood association and the H.S. Post Prom Committee.
