What I love most about teaching:

Teaching and the ability to teach is a gift. I love the idea that as I learn and grow through experience and professional reading I can pass my knowledge and wisdom along to others. As I enhance the lives of young people I know that my efforts will make them better contributing members to our society.

My favorite moment in teaching:

In a recent PLS class were completing an exercise that involved the construction of a flotation device and obviously water was necessary. A participant was drinking from a water bottle and wanted to prove to me that if she spun the bottle in the air fast enough no water would spill out due to gravity. It became quickly evident that the participant though sincere in her belief was incorrect and the class had quite a good laugh as water went everywhere but in the bottle.

Personal Information:

I have been happily married for 18 years with three beautiful children and love the lost art of stamp collecting.
