Stephanie Franklin
State: Indiana
Year Started with PLS: 2003
Why I love teaching PLS courses:
I truly believe in the material. It truly does help teachers become more effective instructors. It truly does help students.
"I truly appreciate how much Stephanie related to us as students. She has a gift of taking a group of diverse individuals and very quickly building a sense of team and camaraderie. As her students, we really looked forward to her class, even after working all day. She made it quite enjoyable. I had countless times heard class members say they were going to use something in their classrooms that they had learned in her class. Being a principal, I am sharing much of what I've learned with my teachers. She has the passion for people, and the ability to motivate and get people involved." - Don Beck, Principal, Waverly Elementary, Mooresville, IN

What I love most about teaching:
There is never an end to what you can teach, and never an end to what kids can learn! Imagine these possibilities!
My favorite moment in teaching:
Each day in working with kids and teachers has a special moment. It may be the smiles on their faces, the hugs they give or the "a-ha's!" they have because of something I helped them do.
Personal Information:
I enjoy summer activities with my husband and step-daughters. We love to go boating at the lake. I also love reading mystery novels and books to improve my own profession as an educator.
