Testimonial from a participant
I wanted to let you know I feel you are doing an outstanding job with this course and now I get to give you a big WOW! You really have your act together and are very organized and thorough. I enjoy the discussion groups, the recaps, the very quick responses to our questions and grades, and how down to earth you seem to be. You make me feel like I've known you a long time when I talk to you. You would be a great co-worker to have because of your enthusiasm for your profession and positive attitude. I only hope that I could do something like this (teaching graduate courses or doing seminars) in years to come. JR from Ashland, PA 10/18/05

Why I love teaching PLS courses:
I was introduced to PLS courses when I began teaching full time at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, WI. I taught T.E.A.C.H. and T.T.L.C. for several years before my responsibilities at the university became such that I was unable to take on the additional courses.
I found the classes then, and now, well-researched, well-designed, and highly controlled for quality – all essential to a good experience for teacher and student alike. The fact that the classes are grounded in theory while being so essentially practical make them easy to assimilate and apply!

What I love most about teaching:
There was never a time that I didn’t love teaching – whether the student was six or sixty years old! It is the constant challenge, the constant variety, and the rewards that creep up and surprise me at the most unusual moments!
My favorite moment in teaching:
I have had the pleasure of receiving letters and recognition from a number of teachers I taught in the undergraduate or graduate programs at the university. When they say they want to influence students like I influenced them, it both humbles and honors me.
Personal information:
I love to read (now that I am retired, I can actually read for pleasure!), sew, knit, do needlework, paint, scrapbook, and exercise (I NEVER thought I would say that!). My greatest pleasure is my two-year old granddaughter! Too bad I’m in Florida and she is in Ithaca, NY!
