What I love most about teaching:
To me, there is nothing finer than spending your day with other people that love to learn. I truly look forward to coming to school each day and seeing my children learn and grow as students. Through PLS, I am able to collaborate with a group of adult learners that want to do better things for children. That’s what life is all about.

My favorite moment in teaching:
This past May, my first class of fifth graders graduated from eighth grade and began high school 3 months later. I was invited to 4 graduation parties that summer, and was so honored to be considered a part of their families on those days. Seeing those children up there getting their certificates, ready to embark on a new journey, was really a great experience.

Why I love teaching PLS courses:
I have taken many courses since becoming a teacher five years ago, including a full Master’s program. The courses through PLS were simply outstanding. I use strategies from them every day in my fifth grade classroom.

Personal information:
I really enjoy spending time with my friends and family as well as traveling. I have been to many countries in Europe, and plan trips whenever I can.
