About Grand Canyon University
Originally founded as a teacher’s college in 1949, Grand Canyon University has been educating Arizona’s finest teachers for 60 years. Earning a degree from GCU’s College of Education provides you with the necessary skills for today’s diverse classrooms.
Why is Grand Canyon University the smart choice for your education career?
• Our academic programs are rigorous and the average class size of 15 means that you’ll receive plenty of personal attention and mentoring.
• Grand Canyon offers a quality private education at an affordable price with plenty of financial aid tools — and we’ll help you find out if you work in a school district that offers reimbursement.
• Online classes are convenient and don’t meet at a specific time — so you can schedule your schoolwork around your busy professional and personal needs.
• All programs are aligned with state and national standards using the Understanding by Design framework developed by Wiggins and McTighe to ensure more engaging and effective learning.
