My Favorite Teaching Moment
Many former students still let me know how they have benefited from courses that I have taught and experiences that I have sponsored. This is very fulfilling!
From February 9 to March 13, 2007, I supervised nine Graceland University student teachers in the Motueka area of the South Island of New Zealand. On the last day of our experience, I went to morning tea and to each of the four placement schools. The gifts and outpouring of friendship from teachers, students, and principals to the student teachers and me made me so grateful for the opportunities that are available in the field of education!
Why I Love Teaching PLS Courses
PLS has been an important aspect of my professional experiences and my personal life. I was privileged to be selected to facilitate PLS courses with a cadre of Iowa State Education Association (ISEA) members in 1981. The enthusiastic reaction of teachers who participated in my PLS courses made teaching them so rewarding. Many of my fellow PLS instructors and students have become treasured friends and valued colleagues.

About Me:
I enjoy traveling, swimming, hiking, reading, collecting children's books, shopping, and daily lattes at the local coffee shop. My travels in the last four years have included trips to India; New Zealand; Santa Barbara, California; Chicago; Las Vegas; Colorado; and Seattle. The tour of India was sponsored by a group that organized the trip to explore the spiritual traditions which were founded in India and I found that fascinating.
