My Favorite Teaching Moment

I have always felt that we are here to serve – and teaching is one of the great ‘service opportunities’ the world offers. I have learned from some of the best – I’ve been mentored by people like John Yeates along my path – and now I have the opportunity to mentor younger teachers and help them work through their obstacles and challenges. Teaching is an outlet for creativity, and the best teachers I know tap into their artistic, creative sides. PLS is great at nurturing and encouraging teachers to go beyond standardized testing and beyond the content to truly make a difference for kids.

Why I Love Teaching PLS Courses

PLS has provided me with the opportunity to grow and share. Working with adult learners has been inspiring. As a high school teacher, it is too easy to forget the wonderful things that are going on in elementary and middle schools. PLS gives everyone the opportunity to learn from each other and “beg, borrow and steal” the great ideas from other educators!
