My Favorite Teaching Moment

When people learn that I am a middle school teacher, I am often asked a question that goes something like this, “You’re a middle school teacher? How do you do that? That is the toughest age group to teach.” My response is always the same, “It begins with a love for the kids I teach. I love my job because I love making a difference in the lives of my students.”

Every day at school is a new favorite moment. Hardly a day goes by that something doesn’t happen to make me smile and say to myself, “Man, I love this job”. Building trust relationships with students that endure for a life-time is my favorite moment.

Why I Love Teaching PLS Courses

My passion is to help classroom teachers do their job better. Since PLS courses have made me a better teacher, I want to share with others what PLS has taught me. PLS courses give teachers research-based information, strategies, and methods to improve classroom teaching. Over the years, I have attended many professional development experiences. Many times I have left these opportunities to grow with little or no practical applications to take back to my classroom. By contrast, nearly 75% of teachers who take PLS courses say they are the best courses they have ever taken. That is exactly why I love teaching PLS.
