My Favorite Teaching Moment
One of my PLS students came up to me after her first class and said, “You are not like other college professors—you are realistic and approachable.” That is really what I am about.
What I love most about teaching is the “Aha” moment when I know that students are able to understand and apply a skill or concept that I have taught them. Life skills have been the anchor of my educational philosophy, and I model this philosophy with my students.
Why I Love Teaching PLS Courses
When I took my first PLS class, it changed the way I taught and was the shot in the arm that I needed to make my classroom come alive. I truly believe that every teacher should take these classes to learn how to address the needs of all learners.
