My Favorite Teaching Moment

I love to see and be part of the change that people demonstrate when they learn something new. I love to see people learn. Creating learning environments, reflecting, and selecting strategies conducive to deep learning and relevant change in people is what really energizes me.

One of my favorite moments in teaching was when I taught my first instructional technology course to student teachers. I really enjoyed seeing the big progress students made throughout the semester. The level of motivation and engagement were so high that there was never a moment of boredom in the class. Students engaged in discussion, collaboration, hands-on activities, and research. I felt they took ownership of their learning process.

Why I Love Teaching PLS Courses

I really love teaching PLS courses because they are research-based and at the same time, practical and relevant, with content connected to real life situations. Teachers taking PLS courses can apply immediately the knowledge and skills they develop at the end of taking a PLS course. I also enjoy teaching PLS courses because the format encourages interactivity, collaboration, active learning, and critical thinking.
