My Favorite Teaching Moment
I love to see the smiles on the faces of students when they finally "get it"! I love the power of the possibility of every new day.
Each year I have my students create a class cheer and motto. One year one of my girls decided we also needed to have a class song. She told me that she had heard a song that reminded her of what I try to teach in class. She brought the song in for us. The lyrics included the words, “Don’t let anyone tell you that you’re not strong enough. Don’t give up, there’s nothing wrong with just being yourself, that’s more than enough." We used the song along with a power point showcasing pictures of our year together. This memory is one of my favorites because when students understand they have the potential and the power, they can experience success!
Why I Love Teaching PLS Courses
I believe the courses are very valuable for teachers because they give them opportunity to easily apply course strategies directly into their own classrooms. Also, the interactive nature of each course keeps teachers energized and motivated.
