My Favorite Teaching Moment

I have found it very rewarding to assist fellow educators in providing a rich learning experience to their students through the various courses I have taught. Within my teaching, I often find myself walking away feeling like I learned as much from the participants as I’ve hopefully taught them.

As a teacher, I spent a great deal of time and effort trying to show my students the value of having a strong character. Needless to say, there is no reliable test or benchmark that could be used to measure how successful I was in this endeavor. However, when I ran into a student years after I had taught him who thanked me for taking the time to show him the importance of helping others, I realized that my efforts were definitely not in vain.
