My Favorite Teaching Moment

I have always enjoyed interacting with others, and I feel special when I know I can help someone else. What job or career can someone have where they actually say they enjoy the work they do?

For my seniors, I changed the desks around in the room so that the students were sitting in a semi-circle. I wanted the students to be able to see each other while discussing some of the literature we were reading. Since there were too many desks for one large semi-circle, I made a smaller one inside the larger one. A group of boys claimed an area of the outer circles, and they said that they felt like they were part of the Jedi Council. For the remainder of the year, they were part of the Jedi Council, and I was their Yoda. It even carried beyond the classroom, as they would talk about what they would decide to do while at lunch and other classes. It definitely made the class fun and interactive!

Why I Love Teaching PLS Courses

All of the PLS courses that I have taken have been inspiring and helpful with my every day classroom needs.

Any chance I get to interact with others is a wonderful opportunity. I love talking with fellow educators who have the same love of teaching and desire to enhance the classrooms in every way we possibly can.
