My Favorite Teaching Moment
A favorite experience in my educational career came when I taught at the International School Bangkok; one year I taught elementary PE, which included the entire group of 5th graders. Following that year, I moved into a position in the high school as a counselor. Three years later, those same 5th graders were in 9th grade, and became my ‘counselees’; working with them, watching them grow, change and having an opportunity to guide them through high school and the college admission process, was amazing. Going through the entire growth and development process from age 11-18 with one group of students was truly a full circle kind of experience and a very rewarding experience.

About Me:
I enjoy facilitating the learning experience for teachers with the PLS courses because of the rich interactions between myself and the participants, and because of the relationships we develop with one another. I appreciate the interactive aspects of the PLS courses and how practical the courses are; teachers can walk away with strategies and techniques to implement immediately. On a personal note, I enjoy spending time outdoors—hiking, kayaking, walking, golfing. Having lived internationally for 18 years, I am very interested in global issues, culture, and travel.
