My Favorite Teaching Moment
I like to create an environment that encourages independent, experiential learning. My most memorable teaching moments are when I witness proof that a student “gets it.

Why I Love Teaching PLS Courses
We are living in an ever-changing global society. A 21st-century education deserves 21st-century methods. I love that PLS courses are progressive and full of sharing ideas, and that teachers can leave with strategies they can use in the classroom immediately. Admittedly, I'm known to steal a few ideas from classes myself. I like to entertain when I teach—keeps me awake, first off, and tends to have the same effect on the students. Moreover, my biggest strength is the ability to cut through all the complexities and get to the essentials—essentials that tend to remain when the complexities fall away from memory. Disadvantage of this latter tendency: occasional oversimplification.
