My Favorite Teaching Moment
Teaching is a wonderful career. I am constantly challenged by my students because I am always striving to find the best way to teach them. I feel very rewarded when my class is successful. I also love when the students come in to the class excited to be there.
Why I Love Teaching PLS Courses
I love teaching PLS courses because the format is very laid-back and there is so much good discussion. Teachers are able to discuss strategies and share ideas with each other. I also love the fact that the content is so relevant to what classroom teachers need. They can take what we discuss and present and use it in their classrooms right away.

About Me:
My husband of 21 years, Scott, is an elementary school principal. I have 2 daughters, Laura and Sarah.I am actively involved in my daughter’s activities as well as activities at church. I am a part of the Site Based Decision Making team at my school. I was named IPS School 49 Teacher of the Year in 2004 and Indianapolis Public School Top Ten Teacher of the Year in 2004. I received an ABCD (Above and Beyond the Call of Duty) Award from IPS in 2003.
