My Favorite Teaching Moment

I am passionate about teaching and love when all the hard work comes together in a smooth cohesive way. PLS courses have helped me be a better teacher and I want to share that with others. I've taught preschool thru adult and have discovered that the learners and the process are the same, its only the faces that change.

Several years ago, while I was teaching kindergarten, one of my students came running up to me during journal writing time. She exclaimed, “Mrs. Warren, I can spell USA. Do you want to hear me?” She took a deep breath and spoke very slowly, “ U !– S !- A ! “ We clapped and hugged together. That was a magic moment that I will never forget.

Why I Love Teaching PLS Courses

I love that PLS courses bring teachers together from diverse backgrounds and experiences. I love that the courses are grounded in research and are continually being updated to reflect current best practices. My beliefs about education are strengthened every time I facilitate a course. I learn so much from the participants and it energizes me to go back into my classroom.
